My 21 day spring cleanse is now over. I feel much better than I did 21 days ago. I learned a lot about myself on this journey.
This was the longest cleanse that I have ever done. It was also the most organized cleanse that I’ve done. In the past I’ve done a box kit where I took lots of horse size pill supplements. As you can imagine, it wasn’t very comfortable for me being that I have a crazy gag reflex. The cleanse in the past also gave me stomach cramps sometimes and I didn’t like that at all.
Juice cleanses for 3 days have been my detox of choice the since January 2012 when I created my 3 day juice cleanse. Which is free over at GetFitWithAnnett.com when you sign up. I really enjoyed the juice cleanse because it was short and sweet and juicing made me feel powerful and extremely healthy. Plus, the juice recipes that I made were very very tasty (even the green ones).
I’ve been a coach for Beachbody, the awesome company who makes Insanity and P90x, almost a year now. Our company came out with a cleanse last year called Ultimate Reset. Being that I have love all things made by Beachbody I had to give it a try! For the last 21 days I’ve been following the Ultimate Reset.
My thoughts on the Ultimate Reset:
1. First of all on sheer packaging alone it’s the best looking kit I’ve seen. You get 6 supplements neatly packaged in a box, some pills, and some powdered form. No horse size pills here.
You get a recipe book, quick start instructions, a getting started DVD, and even a how to cook DVD. A bracelet came with the kit for you to wear during the cleanse to remind yourself what you are doing. Lots of information so that you are well prepared.
2. What I liked the best about this cleanse were the recipes. You are given a book with pictures of all the meals you will be making. All the recipes are included in the book, as well as on an online site. You have access to a weekly shopping list which made shopping easy. The recipes were delicious for the most part. I got to try a lot of new things like tempah, and millet. Learned to cook things I’ve never made before like miso soup, and sushi. It was a very fun and empowering cleanse. I’d say I really loved 95% of the meals in the plan, and I will make all of those again, especially the Zucchini Cashew soup!
3. One major thing that was lacking on the other cleanses I have done was support. This isn’t the case with this cleanse. You have a ton of support on the Ultimate Reset. I have monthly challenge groups that are accountable in my private online challenge groups. You are always welcome to get Free support from me there as my client/customer. Beachbody also has support groups as well. The group I was in had others who started the cleanse the same day as me so we could ask questions, post concerns, and get support if we needed it.
4. Bottom line, would I do this again? Yes I would. I lost 7lbs on this cleanse. I was already at my perfect weight so losing 7lbs was too much for me. I had to add a few more calories the last week so that I wouldn’t lose any more. My goal was not weight loss but just to clean my insides out. It’s an extremely gentle no starvation detox. I LOVED that about it. You get to eat a TON of food that is very filling, but the nature of the food options were low calorie and highly nutritious which is why I still lost weight.
All of my challengers had great results as well. One lost 14lbs, another lost 10, my husband lost 8 by the 2nd week! Everyone was pleased with their results.
Below is a picture of one of my fellow coaches Joline. Here’s what she said about are her AWESOME results!
10.5 lbs down.
10 inches down.
Coffee and meat are no longer a staple.
I shed my “winter coat” and am now back in my best shape.
Love it! I highly recommend Ultimate Reset! I’d love to come alongside you if you are ready to reset your body!
