Hello Fit Moms Fit Kids Club readers. I hope all is well! Life for me has been, well, busy! I hope you’ve noticed that I haven’t been blogging as much.  :)  Did you miss me?? In fact, I’ve slowed way down on blogging.  This was not on purpose, life has just been happening at a rate in which I haven’t been able to keep up.  I have some new and exciting things going on which I’d like to share with you below.  And, I also have a special request that I’d like to ask from you.

First off, what’s been going on with me?  This year has been quite unique in that I’ve been training as if I were going to play professionally this year, but I have yet to play in an event.  This is due to quite a few reasons that I won’t go into right now. But, I’ve actually enjoyed NOT traveling.  And, I’ve been OK with not playing.  Yes, I get a little itch to play now and then, but I really think that this really may be my final year of playing beach volleyball professionally. The exciting thing that’s happened though this year is that I’ve become a fitness adviser or “coach”!  Last month I launched my first online accountability group! My participants can live anywhere in the USA or Canada. It’s been a blast! I have 2 small groups going on simultaneously.  Each group has a max of 5 people.  July 3rd will mark 30 days since this group began and I’ll have all of their new measurements and new weights, and I’ll share their progress (not telling you their names of course).  I’m so excited to find out how everyone is doing.  But, I can tell you this, one of my ladies lost 12 lbs in 2 weeks, and in week 3, she was 16 lbs down!!! I am so excited for her!! Also, one of my guys at the week 3 mark was down 10lbs!! :)

Not everyone in my private accountability group is trying to lose weight.  In fact some, like me, are just trying to get into the better shape, or to be more toned and fit. In my private groups my participants can ask me whatever questions they like anytime. They have full access if you will.  We have some live conference calls (about once a month) to answer any questions as a group. Other than that, everything is done online via, video, and our private online page where  I give them inspiration, and encouragement, and help them reach their health and fitness goals. Each group lasts 60-90 days. A lot of my participants hadn’t worked out in years! Others had just began by themselves and realized that they needed a coach and accountability to push and encourage them.

We are not meant to walk through life alone.  Many of us, myself included, have had to learn this lesson the hard way.  Being a “Lone Ranger” most times costs us more than we thought.  Also, surrounding ourselves with people who have bad habits can cause us to go down the wrong path. This is why coaching and accountability is so important. We all need someone to push and encourage us, and we need to surround ourselves with like-minded people to help us to stay on track helping us make better choices.

This group has been teaching me so much personally.  I’ve become more optimistic about the health of America, and have faith that people with a heart to do something with the right tools and support can do ANYTHING.

Hydrate, Hydrate, Hydrate

Hi Fit Moms!

As you know we well be starting the Summer Lose It Challenge, Monday, June 4.  I want ALL of you to join me! FREE!

One of the most wonderful gifts you can give your body (especially as it starts heating up) is WATER! Even if it’s not hot outside you need to drink your water.

I’ve given you this resource before, but just in case you missed it, here is a link to a hydration calculator.  With this calculator you can figure out how much water YOU need daily.  This calculator takes into account your weight, if you are pregnant, nursing, how long you workout, altitude, weather and more!  It takes about 1 minute to input your info.

Here are MY results:

78.5 ounces of water today, or 2.4 liters.

If you eat a healthy diet, about 20 percent of your water may come from the foods you eat. If you eat a healthy diet you can drink 62.8 ounces of water today, or 1.9 liters.

This is perfect because as you see in the video below, my water bottle holds 2.2 liters! And, I often drink the entire bottle plus some! :)

Summer Lose It Challenge!

Lose weight now

Alright ladies, summer is upon us…ARE You Ready???

I’m not. lol.  That’s why I’m starting the Summer Lose It Challenge! :)

Here are the details…


This challenge is for anyone who wants to lose weight, lose fat, tone up, or just get healthier.  Everyone who is a part of the Summer Lose It Challenge will commit to being accountable on the Fit Moms Fit Kids Club Facebook page.



How Does It Work:

All you have to do is go to Fit Moms Fit Kids Club Facebook page daily and check in there, letting us know 3 things.

  1. What workout your did (any workout you like…bike, yoga, run, walk, Beachbody workout, kickboxing, hiking, etc…)
  2. What did you eat today (this is to keep accountable to eating properly)
  3. How much water did you drink? (use this calculator to see how much you should drink daily)

You can let us know once a day in the evening, OR you can drop by anytime (but drop by everyday). Let’s say you did your workout at 8am.. stop by and let us know! Let’s say you had 2 liters of water before noon like I did last week.  Stop by and let us know.  Maybe you had an awesome dinner that you want to share, healthy and it looked AMAZING! Take a picture, upload it to the Fit Moms Fit Kids Club facebook page.  Yes, you’ll get to brag daily. And, we’ll love you for it! :)  You deserve to brag because you’ll be doing some amazing things, AND you’ll be inspiring other moms just like you.  Let’s feel good, look better, and end the trend of obesity together we can do it!


This challenge begins Monday, June 4 and ends July 3rd!

This is a 30 day challenge!  (If it’s going well, maybe we’ll extend it to do a second round to keep you going.)  :)

How to Prepare:

Start working on a plan.  Take out your calendar, start plotting in your workout times.  Make yourself a priority ladies! As moms we tend to put everyone above ourselves, but if we are unhealthy, not fit, and overweight we cannot give them our best.  Let’s do this for us, let’s do this for our families as well.

Look through this blog and get some meal planning ideas. Just go to Events above and scroll down to Fit Meals Monday, there are tons of meal plans there!  This will be your preparation week.  All it takes is about 1 hour (or less if you just copy from my menus) to plan out your entire month!  Plan to succeed by giving your body the good nutrition it needs to drop the pounds.  If you are like me, and want to relieve yourself of preparing one of several meals a day, you can add something like Shakeology to your day and drink it for breakfast!  Easy as, and tastes like, chocolate pie (but good for you).  Yummy. :)

How to Succeed:

There are many ways to succeed at being consistent with your workouts and eating well.  The first is to be accountable.  That’s why you will be logging in your workouts, meals, and water consumption on the Fit Moms Fit Kids Club Facebook page.  Second, get a buddy!  It’s always more fun to get a friend to do a challenge like this with you!  Ask a girl friend to join the challenge too and you make sure you both log in on our Facebook page. You can also ask your husband, and your kids to jump in on the action, make it a family challenge!

Take pictures!! This week please take your before pictures from all sides (front, back, and side view) so that after 30 days, you can SEE your results.  I know you hate taking pictures of yourself, but you’ll regret it if you don’t.  The scale doesn’t tell the whole story. IF we keep this going in July, and you continue through the summer you can see where you came from and kiss that before picture “goodbye”.  How awesome will it be to inspire yourself, your family, and friends with your before and afters.  And, if you are really bold, you can share them with me to inspire our club!  :)

For those of you who need a little extra help, an extra push… I want to let you know that I have Private Accountability Groups that last from 60-90 days. You can live anywhere to participate. You’ll have me, an Olympian/pro athlete as your coach to help you reach your goals!  My June group is full. :( And to answer your question now, no it’s not free.  But, if you need someone to push you like Bop Harper or Dolvett does on The Biggest Loser..I’d say I’m in between the two and would LOVE to help you reach your health and fitness goals.  If what you’ve always done hasn’t worked for you, and if you can’t trust yourself to do it by yourself, then message me on our Fit Moms Fit Kids Club Facebook page or email me at annett (at) FitMomsFitKidsClub (dot) com and let me know your are interested in joining my July or August private accountability group, and that you’d like me to be your fitness coach. I’m ready to help you meet your goals.  These groups will fill up fast, so make sure you contact me right away (only if you are serious and ready to do what it takes)!
