Spring Cleaning Time!

My spring cleanse begins April 17th! Want to Join ME???

Two to three times a year I give my body a good overhaul.  This year is no different.  Have you ever seen the oil in a car when it’s long overdue for an oil change? The oil is pretty disgusting gunk that looks like mud.  Once that’s flushed out, new clean shiny oil is put in so that your car can work more efficiently.  That’s what a cleanse does for your body. It flushes out the old gunk, you know the toxins and build up, to help your body run smooth like a well oiled machine.

Under my car, changing the oil.

Over the years I’ve learned when it’s time to give my body a good cleanse.  One thing that helped me was an Oprah show featuring Dr. Oz where he talked about, of all things, poop.  :) I don’t want my body clogged up like a pipe waiting to burst, it just doesn’t feel good.  Having toxins stuck in my system isn’t a good thing either.

Personally, I’m against anything that is extreme.  I believe in gentle cleanses that do the work naturally.  I’ve done detoxes and cleanses before where you take a ton of pills all day.  I have an awful gag reflex, so taking 14 horse size pills in a day for a month was not very fun for me.  Last year, inspired by Fat, Sick and Nearly Dead I created a 3 day Juice Cleanse that I know many of you have tried. I LOVED it! The juices were very tasty, and I felt great after it was over, and suprisingly had plenty of energy during it.  Since I completed my 3 day juice cleanse in January, for my spring cleanse I’m trying something new! And, I’d love for YOU to join me.

So, what’s my spring cleanse of choice?? It’s called the Ultimate Reset! No starvation diets. No harsh laxatives. No running back and forth to the bathroom all day long. No horse sized pills. This sounds like the perfect cleanse for me! I have many friends who have done this and have lost 5-15lbs doing this 21 day cleanse.  Many have also lowered cholesterol, improved regularity, increased energy, and more.

What I LOVE about it is that you get a meal plan with the cleanse helping you eat clean foods, slowly taking you from lean meats to vegetarian, to vegan meals by the end. I’ll get familiar with delicious new foods and recipes to help me maintain health gains beyond these 21 days. In other words, the Reset isn’t a quick fix. It’s a path to real, long-term change! I LOVE that! I will also get in my kit six supplements to help detox, alkalinize, oxygenize, mineralize, optimize, and revitalize my body! (Thankfully NO horse size pills! lol)

Friends who have done this cleanse eliminated sugar and caffeine cravings, and said their meals were amazing! They still eat many of them today. One friend told me she never thought she could live without meat, and she was surprised she did, and how she actually liked it. Now she’s incorporating a few meat free days to her week.

I’m so excited about doing this cleanse! Knowing that I’m the type of person who NEEDS support and accountability to complete things, I’m starting an exclusive Ultimate Reset accountability group for anyone who wants to JOIN ME! We’ll discuss how we are feeling, trouble shoot, and encourage each other every step of the way to cross the finish line! Plus, I’ll be your virtual coach FREE if you are my client! Message me for details to let me know you want to join me, and I’ll let you know what’s required.  You can get your Ultimate Reset here through my site.

Oh, I almost forgot to mention the BEST PART!!!! The Ultimate reset is on SALE until March 31st!  Secret: the best deal is always the challenge pack (or value pack I call it with savings of $85 this month) but there are various options (up to $50 savings for March only), even dual options if you want to do it with your mate.  :)

Spring Into Shape- Meal Plan Week 2

This meal plan is what Olympian Annett Davis will be eating during week two of the 2012 Spring Into Shape Challenge. This is NOT a diet plan.  We are not doctors and are not giving advice.  You must calculate your own calories for what your body needs.  This is not a weight loss plan.  The goal of this meal plan is healthy eating. Sure you could possibly lose weight, but that’s not our goal with this plan. You determine your portions.  Here’s a “handy portion guide” which will help you decide how much to eat.  To determine your daily caloric needs you can click here.  Everyone’s goals are different, so please do what’s right for you.

I hope you enjoyed eating from your healthy meal plan last week.  Feel free to use our free meal plan template to make your own meal plan, and put it on your fridge this week.  Remember we are planning to succeed!  If you are new this week, know that the attached meal plan is completely optional.  You can try a meal or two or none at all.  I know I get stuck in ruts sometimes, and meal plans like this help me to come up with new ideas that are tasty and sometimes adventurous for my family.

The image below of the meal plan is just an image. It does not have working links!  If you want the links to the actual recipes you must download the meal plan by clicking on the link below.

Let us know on our Facebook page if you try any of these recipes!  Some of my favorites are on here!

Spring Into Shape- Week 2

Happy Monday!

I hope last week went well.  My kids had a blast yesterday, April Fool’s day,  and pulled pranks on me all day!  From putting salt in glasses, to removing all the utensils from the drawers, to removing batteries from remote controls, it was a fun and long day.  They had a blast, and to see their faces EVERY time they pulled off another prank was priceless. Workouts went well, and I am ready for week 2.

I know some of you are joining us late, and that’s ok.  If you are new here, start with the Spring Into Shape week 1 plan.  The come back to this post next week.  If you enjoyed last week, and are ready to kick it up a notch, then you are in the right place.
