Daddy Does It RAW!

OK guys, “Daddy Does It RAW” has officially started.  This isn’t Annett (founding member of Fit Moms Fit Kids Club) but her loving husband Byron writing.  Annett knew what she was getting into when she married me.  When I get excited about something I tend to jump in with both feet.  That can sometimes be a bad thing (especially when you don’t know how far the bottom is (ha ha ha)).  But it never makes for a dull moment in the Davis household.

Well, I have been inspired by Annett’s  motivation to keep our family life fun and fit.  Over the past year, as a family, we have been eating a lot less meat and have become a “plant” strong family (instead of meat with a side of veggies, it’s veggies with a side of meat).  While things have been going great, I thought I’d shake it up a bit and see if our family could, not just go without meat, but eat “high” raw for a whole month (High RAW means 95% RAW and living foods… NO MEAT).  I am curious to experience what happens.
Every week (maybe even twice a week), I will write a blog post called “Daddy Does It RAW”  to keep you guys informed and share our menus, how the kids respond, whether or not Annett smuggles in a burger or Chipotle into the house… the whole 9.  Stay tuned!

DAY 1: Today’s menu: Breakfast -Apple/ Peach/ Spinach Smoothie;  Lunch -Waldorf Salad; Dinner -Veggie Lettuce Wrap; raw nuts & raisins for snacks. Water and sun brewed green tea throughout the day.
